Work as intended

The rings hide the silver nose of many lenses. Not only is it a much prettier look but also cuts down on reflections you might see of the lens while shooting in glass. A tiny bit of silver remains visible so I add a UV filter with a black ring and voila! everything is now black.

Excellent for coding your lens

It's a simple and effective way to give your lens a 6-bit-code. My Leica M EV1 recognised the code without any problems. The setup was a piece of cake. I would definitely recommend this product to any Leica photographer using third-party lenses.

Great grip and protection

The handle is great; it gives the Q3 a comfortable grip. It also provides excellent protection for the camera's base. As for Akara, their service is fantastic. I had a small issue with the delivery, but Henley took care of it. They're very professional, and I highly recommend Akara's products and services!

Easy and efficient

I have purchased this 6-bit encoder kit for my 50 mm and 90 mm M-mount lenses. I can confirm that everything worked simply as expected. The whole process took me about 15-20 minutes while I have carefully followed the instructions and watched the videos. One of the strange things in Lightroom was that I couldn’t edit the meta data regarding the lens used. Now I am happy to be able to identify easily which lens was actually used.
