Buy a Grip case, get 30% off a No-Grip case · code NoGrip30
This tool works great and so far all the codes have worked pretty much flawlessly. Saves a little bit of time when you attach a non-six bit coated lens for sure would recommend to anyone that has non coded lenses
I bought both the standard no grip version and the grip version with the tripod mount.
In my opinion, this is the best case for the X100VI because it preserves the camera's slim profile. It hugs the camera really well without adding unnecessary bulk.
Both are excellent. The grip version works perfectly even without installing the screw underneath the camera. It stays securely attached without it, so you'll only need the screw if you're mounting the camera to a tripod.
I bought the standard no grip version because I wanted the simplest setup, and it works great for everyday use.
The grip version, with the threaded tripod mount, is also excellent. I don't bother using the screw to secure the case because it stays firmly in place on its own. The advantage is that it's always ready to be mounted on a tripod whenever needed.
I switch between the two depending on what I feel like using. If you want to save a little money, the standard no grip version is a great choice. If you think you'll ever use a tripod, I'd recommend the grip version. Either way, you can't go wrong.
I've also uploaded photos of the grip version with the tripod mount so you can see how it looks installed.
The Akara Stealth Rings fit my Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses perfectly, making the butt ugly chrome edges of those lenses look snazzy and all dressed up. It literally changes the whole look of my Sigma BF camera. I wouldn't want to go out without them. True that!
I have the no-grip standard version on my X100VI. It gives a lot of protection to the bottom of the camera without any noticeable bulk; the camera sits flat on a surface when I put it down, and the camera still slips into my Mega-gear soft case. So, it does everything I wanted from it. Thanks, neat idea!
I purchased two cases: one for my M11-D and the other for my M11 Monochrom. I absolutely love them. So much so that I no longer use my Leica Protector on my M11-D. The cases are lightweight, easy to grip, and feel great in the hand. I have zero problems moving them to access the charging port or pop out the SD card.
As someone who designs and prints 3D solutions for myself, I can say that these cases impeccably designed and perfectly printed. Worth every penny!
Being honest, when this landed I was a bit underwhelmed. I wasn't expecting a lot for the price, but it just seemed almost too simple.
Since fitting it to the camera I've rarely had to give it a thought. I have the one with built in grip and it's perfect. It give the camera just the right amount of protection, especially for the base which is the area that gets most contact with surfaces.
I've just been out shooting for the day and was looking at the images when I realised that I couldn't even remember where I got the case from, so I went through my emails so I could go and leave a well deserved review.
If you're undecided about getting one of these because it seems too cheap for your fancy leica, just buy it. It's perfect for the job and you won't regret it.
I didn't know about it. Excellent invention.
This is one of the slimmest grip options available for the X100VI. It's super low profile and extremely well built.
The thumbrest is a little odd though. It can be extremely uncomfortable if you wrap your thumb around the camera a long way and position it to the right, over the AE lock button. It feels like it was designed for you to hold the camera with your thumb more vertical, just next to the Q button. Doing this results in a much better experience.
Keeping this in mind I'm SUPER happy with this case and would absolutely recommend it.
I have received the parcel and the quality of this new item is impeccable; it’s lovely. The team is very responsive and competent
I now have a slimline case protecting my Leica M3, M6 and M10P
The fit is excellent and my toys are well protected ;-)
I use an M EV1. I purchased both the black and clear versions, and tried applying the clear one first. However, it wasn’t truly transparent, so I contacted them about it.
They then tested it directly on a black body, listened to my feedback, confirmed that it was not transparent enough, and immediately changed to a new material. They even sent me two replacement sets free of charge.
It has become much clearer now. The level of finish is close to Leica’s genuine bottom plate protection film for film M bodies. Now it is truly transparent!
Thank you.
I am half way through a holiday in Europe and this case has made the x100vi very comfortable to use. It adds nearly zero bulk while the grip is large enough to improve handling. I previously used the Smallrig grip which makes the camera too bulky. Although the case covers the battery access, I found it easy enough to slip on and off.
Great quality, fit is perfect. Good engineered product !
