Voigtländer Bessa · Slim Skin Case

A flexible, super-light protective skin for the Voigtländer Bessa rangefinder series (R2, R3, R4 variants). Adds grip and protection while preserving the camera's classic profile. A modern alternative to a traditional leather half-case, without the bulk or weight.

Now shipping with a textured leather-effect finish for improved grip and a more classic look. Current product photos show the earlier smooth surface. New photography coming soon.

Why it works

• Pop-off film loading (Standard version): the bottom releases and pivots to the side, staying tethered to your strap lug. You can then remove the camera baseplate as normal to load film.
• Sits flat (Standard version): no protruding screws underneath, camera sits stable on any surface.
• Shape-holding fit: moulded to the Bessa's curves. Stays put, doesn't shift, doesn't sag.
• Vulcanite and body protection: shields the camera covering and edges from wear.
• Premium leatherette texture: better grip and a finish that complements the Bessa's classic look.

Pick your variant

Grip or No-Grip

• Grip: adds a substantial finger ridge to the Bessa's flat front. A real handling improvement on these otherwise slick bodies.
• No Grip: keeps the camera's classic film-era silhouette intact. No bumps.

Standard or Tripod mount

• Standard: custom quick-release bung. Snap it on, snap it off. Sits flat. Best if you rarely tripod.
• Tripod: traditional 1/4"-20 screw mount. Compatible with most tripod plates, quick-release systems, and clip mounts, including Peak Design Capture and Arca-Swiss style plates. Includes 8mm and 10mm screws. Use the 10mm to sandwich-mount a tripod plate between the case and camera.

Material

High-quality matte TPU with a leatherette-style texture. Holds its shape, flexes for fitting, resists UV and most chemicals.

Safety

• Always use a strap or tether. The case is not a primary security solution.
• Tripod version: ensure at least 4mm of screw thread is engaged in the camera tripod socket. Tighten fully and re-check periodically.
