Leica M6/M7/MP/M-A · Slim Skin Case

A flexible, super-light protective skin for the Leica M6, M6 TTL, M7, MP, and M-A film bodies. Adds grip and protection while preserving the camera's classic profile. A modern alternative to a traditional leather half-case, without the bulk or weight.

Why it works

• Pop-off film loading (Standard version): the entire case instantly releases and pivots to the side, staying tethered to your strap lug. You can then remove the camera baseplate as normal to load film.
• Sits flat (Standard version): no protruding screws underneath, camera sits stable on any surface.
• Shape-holding fit: moulded to the body's curves. Stays put, doesn't shift, doesn't sag.
• Vulcanite and leatherette protection: wraps the body to shield the original covering from wear, oils, and edge damage.
• Leica-style leatherette texture: better grip and the case looks like it belongs there.

Style

• Grip: adds a subtle finger ridge for one-handed shooting and heavier lenses. A modern ergonomic touch on a classic film body.
• No Grip: keeps the camera's classic film-era silhouette intact. No bumps.

Mount

• Standard: custom quick-release bung. Snap it on, snap it off. Sits flat. Best if you rarely tripod.
• Tripod: traditional 1/4"-20 screw mount. Compatible with most tripod plates, quick-release systems, and clip mounts, including Peak Design Capture and Arca-Swiss style plates. Includes two screws. The 8mm screw comes pre-fitted and has a built-in thumb grip, so you can tighten it by hand with no tools. The spare 10mm screw lets you sandwich-mount a tripod plate between the case and camera, and needs a flat-head screwdriver to tighten.

Material

High-quality matte TPU with a leatherette-style texture. Holds its shape, flexes for fitting, resists UV and most chemicals.

Safety

• Always use a strap or tether. The case is not a primary security solution.
• Tripod version: ensure at least 4mm of screw thread is engaged in the camera tripod socket. Tighten fully and re-check periodically.
